Our Regional Service Centres (RSC’s) play a pivotal role in ensuring our retail and online distribution service runs to maximum efficiency across the network. Supporting the Regional Service Centre Manager, the Warehouse Manager will ensure the smooth running of the warehouse and develop all warehouse operations to achieve greatest performance in terms of productivity whilst minimising cost and maintaining a safe environment for all.

The Warehouse Manager will establish positive working relationships with customers, suppliers and operational teams throughout the Next distribution network, to consistently develop and enhance the operation.

You will assist the RSC Manager in the preparation of seasonal budgets and subsequent reforecast, ensuring they are prepared timely and are fully reflective of volume and operational requirements.

Once approved, you will manage operations in such a way to at least remain within budget parameters, whilst at the same time maximise any opportunity to drive savings on cost and explain budget / reforecast variance, where identified.

Resilient and able to work under pressure, you will have an open management style and be able to motivate the teams providing guidance and feedback to enhance performance. You will be responsible for providing clear targets to the teams throughout the warehouse in line with business objectives, overseeing productivity statistics, establish productivity tracking tools and review methods and procedures in order to maximise performance across the RSC whilst ensuring that safety is not compromised and remains the top priority. You will work closely with the Duty Managers and Supervisors to cascade information throughout the operation.

Ensuring that all daily and weekly reports are completed accurately and timely, with any subsequent actions recorded and monitored, you will present the RSC Manager with any recommendations following feedback from the Duty Managers and Warehouse Supervisors.
