Senior Project Manager - Information technology - Maidstone/Kent - circa £60k

*Flexible working but must own car and live within commutable distance*



Experience needed:

· 5+ years’ experience in a project management role.

· Business process review using LEAN methodologies

· Managing a team of analysts

· Thorough understanding of project management fundamentals.

· Understanding of software development life cycle



The Head of Projects and Business Partnering will be the strategic interface between the service and the operational business units. They will operate as the key business contact representing IT in promoting IT and information services and capabilities to the wider business.



The role is to fully understand the challenges that each of the individual operational service areas are facing, including customer priorities, financial issues and commercial opportunities and to share knowledge of technology solutions, opportunities and risks to improve efficiency and effectiveness of those operational business units. They will provide support in defining and delivering technology solutions that meet the needs of the business.

The role will act as the strategic partner with business leadership and other key stakeholders to define opportunities and identify and prioritize projects based on predefined criteria (e.g. return on investment, productivity, compliance).



You will have an excellent knowledge of how IT and information can improve the organisations performance and will be able to combine that with a deep understanding of operational housing processes to ensure that we capture and deliver against opportunities that currently exist within our business now and into the future.

You will effectively communicate decisions, priorities and relevant project information to appropriate levels of staff regarding business unit requests and projects and initiatives. You will establish the project requirements and resources required to deliver the improvements and will work with your team and the relevant operational teams to manage the resultant programme of work in conjunction with the corporate PMO office. You will direct and coordinate the utilization of resources across divisions of the project to reach targets ensuring compliance with budget and other project requirements. You will ensure compliance with all documentation and testing of the final solutions. You will communicate with all key stakeholders during all phases of the project(s) and ensure efficient and timely closure.

Key Result Areas

1.

Responsible for establishing strong relationships with managers across the business to understand how data and technology driven changes to process, products, services, software and hardware can improve efficiencies and add value.

2.

Responsible for bridging the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver recommendations and solutions to executives and stakeholders.

3.

Responsible for balancing solutions against what’s technologically feasible and financially and functionally reasonable to improve operational processes, hardware, software and customer service delivery

4.

Responsible for analysing and recommending the design of systems and business models that maximise the investment in technology and information systems

5.

Responsible for ensuring that appropriate IT resources are assigned to key projects (as established by the corporate PMO) and to be responsible for the successful delivery of the IT and information components of those projects
