Scientist - Enzyme Development - 8 month FTC

Would you like to work in an innovative work culture where research and developments focused on breaking barriers and evolving? Look no further with this opportunity where our client is seeking somebody to develop high-quality enzymes for consumable reagents to be used in DNA sequencing platforms.

The role

With a background in Enzymologym you will determine the critical parameters for reagent stability and performance.

Responsibilities will include

* Working with various departments including Reagent Manufacturing to develop novel reagents
* Work with biochemical/biophysical characterization experiments
* Analytical methods on protein, small-molecule and oligonucleotide characterization to help with reagent evaluation.
* Write technical reports and present results to stake holders and senior management

Qualifications and Experience needed

* Degree in biochemistry, biophysics, or other related discipline.
* Some knowledge of DNA amplification methods & DNA processing enzymes.
* Experience in biochemical/biophysical characterization.

ADVANTAGES TO HAVE

* Experience of the development of methodologies for improving biomolecule stability is a plus
* Experience in kinetic characterization of enzymes. Application to nucleic acid-binding proteins (DNA repair, ligases, polymerases, etc) is a plus.
* PhD in Biomolecular Sciences would be an advantage
* Proficient in the application of statistical methods, JMP/DoE experience highly desired.
* Experience with Critical Parameter Management or Design for Six Sigma methodology highly desired.
* Experience with Critical Parameter Management or Design for Six Sigma methodology highly desired.
