BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE

ROCHDALE

£22,000 to £27,000 + COMMISSION

THE OPPORTUNITY:

We’re exclusively supporting a market leading business located in Rochdale who is looking to expand their Sales team as part of their strategic expansion plans.

As a Business Development Executive, you’ll be working within a fast-paced office environment (It’s not a call centre) proactively speaking to businesses about the new products and keeping in touch with key accounts. Getting involved with creating quotes, following up and closing orders.

THE PACKAGE:

£22,000 to £27,000 Basic + Lucrative Bonus/Commission Scheme

THE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT EXECUTIVE ROLE:

* Working within a busy office environment as part of the sales team
* Contacting agreed target customers with a view to gaining a good understanding of their business and requirements
* Providing support to the customer service team who handle queries with from customers and handle order processing, supporting with inbound enquiries when required
* Analysing market information the Regional Sales Manager and target key accounts to develop further sales opportunities
* Educating customers on products and services to ensure that they’re aware of the full portfolio
* Provide customer quotes and prices, where necessary agreeing price structures
* Upselling and cross selling the products / services.
* Booking an appointment for a field based Regional Sales Manager to meet customers to discuss larger bulk orders or to meet existing customers.

THE PERSON:

Essential

* Must have B2B / Business to Business Sales experience in a consultative style approach
* A strong understanding of the sales cycle
* A successful track record of hitting sales targets
* Able to deliver high levels of customer service and build long lasting relationships
* Computer literate with MS Office – MS Word, Outlook, Internet

Desirable

* Whilst not essential, any experience in the following industries would be a significant advantage (Business to Business) Utilities / Gas / Electric / Electronics / Telecoms / Security Alarms / Internet Services / IT Services
