Job Description:

Roles and Responsibilities

  • SME level hands-on knowledge on the Observability tools in Monitoring, Logging and Dashboarding like LogStash, Grafana, Kibana, ELK or similar
  • Good hands-on experience with Infra as code and Configuration management and Scripting experience – Shell or Powershell or Python
  • Good hands-on experience with one or more with CI/ CD automation tools for Deployment, Configuration and Pipelines Orchestrations like AWS Systems Manager/ Azure, AWS DevOps, Jenkins / Helm Spinnaker or similar
  • Strong experience with installation, management and upgrade of opensource and enterprise Kubernetes clusters (Upstream and Managed services).
  • Experience with architecting highly scalable and highly available systems
  • Build experience across multiple technologies – IaaS, Container-based deployments (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, AKS, ACK)

Technical skills:

  • Kubernetes (intermediate)
  • Helm (intermediate)
  • Elasticsearch (intermediate)
  • Git
  • CI/CD experience (preferred Jenkins)

Responsibilities

  • Provide 24/7/365 support
  • Elastic Stack running on K8s
  • This service might be later extended with coverage for other internal tools
  • Respond to incidents
  • Notification via monitoring system PagerDuty & ServiceNow
  • Response guided by runbooks
  • Communicate landscape status (Status page)
  • Respond to a limited and defined set of service requests
  • Respond to a defined set of information requests
  • Respond to requests from engineering Team
  • Report activities and problems on a regular schedule

Work Tasks

  • Support 24x7 availability of the infrastructure (ELK clusters + support infrastructure)
  • Incident Management
  • Problem Management
  • Capacity Management
  • Includes current utilization levels on the individual instances and initiating quota and resizing activities
  • React to data flow issues from event sources & to data destinations
  • Involves checking whether data flow issues are on the side and potentially alerting/informing other tool owners/operations teams
  • Perform health checks
  • Perform infrastructure updates (k8s) after request of
  • Contribute to Customer documentation
  • Contribute to self monitoring
