Job Description:

Candidates are to use the cover letter to clearly demonstrate how they meet the experience factors listed in the essential qualifications, and if applicable, the asset qualifications. Work environment
 
The Contract Officer is responsible to initiate, plan and manage procurement contracts, including through standing offer call-ups, in support of Canadian Armed Forces European-based operations. The work may cover procurements with technical complexity, commercially sensitive or protected information, including but not limited to the following fields: the provision of a wide range of services, such as lease/rental, maintenance and repair/modification of equipment, transportation and fleet services, technical and professional services, maintenance and support of real property, real life support, as well as the acquisition of a wide range of products, materials and equipment.

Education:
 
  • Completion of higher-level secondary school (e.g. Realschule) AND completed apprenticeship or vocational training program (e.g. Ausbildung) in field related to Business, Administration, or Finance; OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience. 
An acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience is defined as: Completion of higher-level secondary school (e.g. Realschule) AND three years’ experience in a field related to Business, Administration or Finance.
 
Language:
  • English and German Essential
Experience:
 
  • Experience (normally acquired over a minimum of one year) working in Business, Administration or Finance
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook (or other comparable email programs
