Job Description:
Our well established Not-for-Profit Client are looking for a Financial Controller to lead the co-ordination, delivery and management of an efficient and effective Finance Function.
This is an exciting 12 month FTC opportunity for a Financial Controller to join our client based in Dublin West.
They are operating with a hybrid working model (2-days onsite).
As a key member of the finance team, reporting to the Director of Finance, you will be responsible for ensuring comprehensive month-end close, strategic financial analysis, collaborative budgeting, and efficient management of bookkeeping, transactions, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities:
* Overseeing month-end close processes
* Conducting thorough financial analyses to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.
* Collaborating with cross functional teams to develop precise budget forecasts and monitoring financial performance.
* Preparing and presenting comprehensive monthly management accounts reports, emphasizing key insights and recommendations.
* Supervising day-to-day bookkeeping activities to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
* Managing financial transactions, including invoicing, income, payroll, and non-pay expenses.
* Ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.
* Continuously evaluating and enhancing financial processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
* Implementing best practices to improve the overall financial administration of the company.
Minimum Requirements:
* ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years post qualification
* Experience within the Non for Profit/Public Sector industry (desirable).
* Previous team lead/management experience.
* Ability to communicate effectively and lead a team of seven finance professionals.
* Strong stakeholder management skills
* Experience working with Sun Accounting or similar accounting package.
