About us: 

Seacirc is a green tech startup rooted in both Germany and Norway. We are developing a software system and database for sustainability tracking and rating for companies, and are currently looking for software engineers who have experience in networking and data storage, information retrieval, UI/UX design, large-scale system design, security, natural language processing and artificial intelligence.

As a full-stack engineer, you will have the lead role in developing software from scratch in close co-operation with the rest of the Seacirc team. We need you to be able to work autonomously, display leadership skills, carry a large responsibility, deliver high quality products and acquire external software expertise when needed.

 

You will:

  • Deliver value iteratively by building high-quality applications and features

  • Create and own architectural design

  • Shape our coding guidelines and quality standards

  • React, troubleshoot and solve operational events (bugs and incidents)

  • Focus on continuous learning and improvement and drive the creation and evolution of engineering practices

  • Mentor and guide new teammates

  • Should be based in Europe

 

This is a remote full-time (~30hrs/week) freelance position. A permanent CTO position will become available in 2021.

Job Requirements:

You'll have:

  • Experience implementing applications in React, Angular

  • Experienced with CSS

  • Experience working with UX designers

  • Experience using AWS or GCP, SQL and NoSQL databases

  • Testing experience: unit, integration, and E2E

  • Knowledge analyzing metrics, system health and performance

  • Willingness to cooperate with the product and business stakeholders building together a trust working environment

  • Self motivated and disciplined self starter

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Fluency in written and spoken English
