Are you looking for an exciting new challenge a little outside of the day to day norm?

We are currently recruiting for an Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) to join our Mobile Endoscopy team covering various sites across the UK.

In Health has been providing patients and commissioners with rapid access to high quality endoscopy services in community gastroenterology clinics for over 10 years.

Leading the way in direct access services we work closely with primary care clinicians and commissioners to support the management of patients in the community and reduce waiting times at our local hospitals. We design locally agreed integrated pathways helping CCGs provide patient centred community endoscopy services through a one stop service.

Our services include Transnasal & Oral Gastroscopy, Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy, Bowel Scoping, Community Gastroenterology Clinics.

What does being a Operating Department Practitioner involve?

This role is 37.5 hours per week, on a local rota across Monday to Sunday.

As an ODP in our Endoscopy clinics, you will deliver a professional and efficient service, working alongside a team of Consultants, Endoscopists, Nurses and Healthcare Support Workers in our dynamic and fast-paced sites. As an integral part of our clinical team, your skills as an ODP help us to deliver on our vision to make healthcare better.

To apply for this role, you will need:

* Current HCPC registration
* Experience working in theatre/surgery
* Previous endoscopy experience would be desirable but not mandatory
* Be able to demonstrate an appreciation of patient care and confidentiality
* Have the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
* Understand the implications of the Data Protection Act and Caldicott Principles
* Be computer literate, with accurate data entry skills and attention to detail
