Our client is a modern, 4-star standard hotel, just a short drive from the city centre of Oxford. This hotel attracts a mixture of both corporate and leisure guests meaning they can be busy all week long.

The hotel's bright and airy restaurant is open to diners for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is served buffet-style whilst lunch and dinner can be ordered from the hotel's all-day dining menu, and features a range of international dishes, including some popular British classics.

The hotel can also cater for conferences, events and weddings of up to 250 covers, between multiple function rooms.

Please note; our client does not have live-in accommodation, however, they would be able to accommodate someone temporarily, if they were relocating to the area.



What’s involved?

As an experienced Sous Chef, you will be the Head Chef’s right-hand person and will work closely together to ensure the smooth running of a busy kitchen. You will be responsible for managing the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence, overseeing food preparation and ensuring dishes are cooked and presented to company standards, and offering guidance to Junior Chefs, where required.

The Sous Chef will have previous experience of working in a fast-paced kitchen - preferably in a hotel - and will be able to work well under pressure. You will be an organised individual with excellent time management and communication skills, as well as ensuring that yourself and the team all have high standard of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety at all times.

Whilst accommodation is not available with this role, our client is able to arrange accommodation on a temporary basis if you were looking to relocate to the area.
