Software Developer – Trading Systems
As a Software Developer, you'll play a critical role in building and maintaining one of Nasdaq’s core systems powering trading at the heart of Nasdaq Stockholm.

Key Responsibilities
Participate in all phases of the lifecycle of software application development with an emphasis on architecture, design, quality, code reviews and implementationDevelop and maintain backend systems that process real-time equity trades with ultra-low latency requirements.Write clean, well-tested code and conduct thorough code reviews to ensure system reliability and quality.Collaborate with a small, focused team of developers to deliver enhancements to critical trading infrastructure.Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues using data analysis, scripting, and network diagnostics.Contribute to system architecture decisions with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and performance.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.2–3+ years of experience in software development, ideally in backend or systems programming. Proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.Solid understanding of Linux/Unix environmentsExcellent attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving in high-stakes environments.Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of network protocols and ability to analyze network traffic (e.g., tcpdumps).Background in financial services, capital markets, or fintech.This position will be located in Stockholm and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
