Project controller

As Project Controller at Optics11, you will play a key role in supporting the financial and operational performance of our strategic projects. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will work closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to ensure strong financial oversight, risk management, and project performance monitoring.Given the entrepreneurial and fast-growing nature of the organization, this position offers a broad and hands-on scope with significant exposure to both finance and operations.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor project budgets, forecasts, and actual spending across multiple projects;Identify and analyze budget deviations, cost overruns, and financial risks;Support Project Managers with financial insights and performance reporting;Track project progress against financial milestones and contractual obligations;Maintain visibility on project risks, including financial, operational, and delivery-related risks;Prepare project performance reports and management updates for the CFO and leadership team;Contribute to improving project control processes, reporting structures, and internal controls;Act as a financial business partner to the project organization;Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial data and project reporting;Develop a solid understanding of accounting principles and their impact on project performance, although transactional accounting itself is managed separately.Facilitate project maturity assessments and incorporate improvements identified.Responsible for overseeing project time registration, ensuring accurate time reporting, and maintaining governance and compliance with internal procedures.What We OfferA broad and impactful role in a highly innovative technology company;Direct exposure to senior leadership and strategic projects;An entrepreneurial and collaborative working environment;Competitive salary and benefits package;Opportunities for personal and professional growth.Your ProfileBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field3–7 years of experience in project controlling, business controlling;Experience working in project-driven environment such as the offshore industry or the building/ construction industry;Strong analytical and financial modeling skills;Ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment;Comfortable interacting with both finance and operational stakeholders;Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset;Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills;Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
