Operational Buyer

We are looking for an Operational Buyer who will play a key role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective availability of materials to support our production and operations.We develop cutting-edge fiber optic sensing solutions that help protect critical infrastructure and enable smarter monitoring in industries like energy and underwater security.We are a fast-growing, international scale-up where hardware and software come together to solve complex, real-world challenges. Our teams work closely across engineering, production, and operations to bring high-impact technology from concept to deployment.This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on execution, supplier coordination, and maintaining high data accuracy.What will you doCreate, issue, and manage purchase orders based on ERP/MRP demandVerify pricing, lead times, and supplier terms before order placementMonitor open purchase orders and proactively follow up with suppliersEnsure on-time delivery and address potential delays earlyIdentify and mitigate supply risks; escalate critical issues when neededAlign closely with planning, production, and engineering on material needsTranslate demand into actionable procurement plansSupport prioritization in case of shortagesResolve supply disruptions, delivery deviations, and quality issuesCoordinate corrective actions with suppliers and internal stakeholdersMaintain regular communication with suppliers on order status and changesNegotiate practical aspects such as delivery schedules and partial shipmentsEnsure accurate data tracking and documentation in ERP systemsContribute to continuous improvement of procurement processesWhy Join UsJoin one of Europe’s most promising deep-tech scale-upsCompetitive salary and benefits packageEnjoy regular team activities and company eventsFresh team lunches provided 3 times/ weekWhat we are looking for1-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chainBachelor’s degree or equivalent (Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or similar)Experience with ERP/procurement systems (e.g. SAP, Exact, Precoro, or similar)Experience in a technical or manufacturing environment is a strong plusFamiliarity with supply planning or production environments is beneficialWe are currently only considering candidates already residing in the Netherlands (no relocation or work permit support)What makes you successful in this roleStrong sense of ownership and accountability in daily executionHigh attention to detail and process disciplineClear and structured communication with both suppliers and internal teamsAbility to manage multiple priorities and stakeholdersHands-on, solution-oriented mindset when dealing with supply challengesMore information So now you know we're doing awesome projects and if you see you fit the profile we would like to get to know you.
